About the Season

In 2018, Brazilian presence in Florida will be celebrated with amazing events throughout the whole year. The Brazilian cultural season in Florida – “A Journey through Brazilian Experiences” – will bring together Arts, Architecture, Business, Cinema, Dance, Education, Fashion, Gastronomy, History, Literature, Music, Sports, Photography, Theater and Tourism to underscore Brazilian influence.

The Brazilian community is one of the most active in Florida, contributing in a very positive way to the development of the State. Moreover, Florida is the biggest trading partner of Brazil in the United States, a main recipient of Brazilian foreign investment, and one of the preferred international tourist destinations for Brazilians.

The events will take place in a number of different cities: Miami, Miami Beach, Doral, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Orlando, Tampa, Gainesville, Pompano Beach. The idea is to integrate several initiatives to promote Brazil’s culture, business and the Portuguese language, by showcasing to Floridians and to the international community in the Sunshine State a portrait of our country. The Consulate General of Brazil in Miami is coordinating the events with the support of Brazilian and Floridian authorities, eminent leaders of the Brazilian community and influential local institutions.
